Important: Non Subscriber emails will remain within the hosted environment for 30 days after receipt. Then they will be purged.

In box Registration

eM4 Non Subscribers have the option to register and have access to their in box and other features.

There are 2 situations:

Subscriber does not require authentication
If no authentication is required, simply click on the link and view the email in a secure browser.
Subscriber requires authentication.
If authentication is required, the non subscriber will have to create and maintain credentials.

Log In Screen

You will receive an email titled "eM4 Compliant Email delivery notice" from the Sender's email address. In the email it lets you know that you have received a secure email from an employee at the Sender's Company Name. There will be a link to click on to view the secure message. This is a sample of an email delivery notice below:

Password Requirements

Please review the password requirements:

Please enter the unique graphics code as displayed. This is case-insensitive.

Important: Please make sure you use the mouse to navigate to the Create User button. Hitting Enter on your keyboard will simply refresh the code.

Create user

Click on the Create User Button.

Click on Check Mailbox.

You will refresh to your In box.

Mailbox Operations

Using Your Webmail In box

Your Webmail in box allows you to view, save, and reply to the sender; securely exchanging 3rd party confidential information.

Starting across the top, the in box displays your full name and email address when logged in.

Common Feature Icons


  • Sends only to the sender.
  • Other addresses entered will be blocked.
  • Sends only to the sender and any other subscribers and/or non subscribers that the sender included in the original email.
  • Other addresses entered will be blocked.
  • PERMANENTLY removes the email.
  • Remember: There is no deleted mailbox to recover from; no recycle bin.
  • Exports the email in the Microsoft Outlook EML format.
  • Prints the email to any configured printer you have access to.
  • Allows you to scroll up and down through messages in your in box.
  • Stores the email in a custom folder you can create to help organize your business.

Account Settings

To change your account settings, click on the User Settings icon.

Change Password

To change your password, click on Change Password under Account Settings:

You will be required to fill out your current password, your new password, and to confirm your new password.


Then click on Change Password.

Edit Profile

To Edit your Profile, click Edit Profile under Account Settings.


It will prompt you to verify your password. Enter your password and Click OK.

Edit the information you would like to change and then press OK.


Down the left vertical side of the page are the Mailbox (in box), Sent Items, and User Folders icons.

In the center of the page are the list of emails with Sender, Subject, Date/Time stamp, and the number of days remaining until the email is deleted automatically.

Sending a Reply Email

Non subscribers have the ability to securely reply to emails to the original sender.

Click the check box to the left of the email you wish to reply to in the mailbox, Then select Reply or Reply All from the upper left hand corner of the mailbox.

Attaching Files

Select the Browse button.

Choose the file you would like to attach and then click Open.


Then select attach to upload the document.

Notice the attachment has been updated and there is the option to delete the attachment before sending by clicking the "X."


Press Send.

The browser will refresh to the mailbox.

To verify the reply email was sent successfully, click on Sent Items and view the emails that have been sent. Remember, you can only reply to the email address of the sender (and those subscribers and non subscribers that the sender included in the original email).
